Cold weather is where most pouch packs quietly stop performing. Capacity that looks fine on a bench at 25 degrees Celsius collapses once the pack is soaked at minus 20, internal resistance climbs, voltage sags under load and the flight controller triggers an early landing. The LPW-LT4S8000 was engineered around that exact failure mode. It is a 4S 14.8V 8000mAh LiCoO2 pouch battery in which the electrolyte additive package and the electrode coating thickness have been re-balanced so that ionic conductivity is preserved at low temperature instead of being traded away for room-temperature peak power.
Practically, that means a pack that still delivers its rated 100C continuous discharge in a cold soak, keeps a usable share of its nominal capacity below freezing, and does not need to be pre-warmed in a vehicle before a pre-dawn launch. For survey teams, inspection crews and search and rescue units working in winter conditions, this removes a step from the pre-flight checklist and, more importantly, removes the risk of a mid-mission voltage collapse.

Harness note: the full 800 A continuous rating requires the AS150 or XT90 harness. Packs ordered with an XT60, T plug or JST harness are limited to 60C continuous by connector thermal rating, which is still sufficient for 5 to 7 inch airframes.
ApplicationsThis pack is aimed at operations where the launch happens before the ambient temperature has recovered. Typical deployments include winter power line and pipeline inspection, pre-dawn mapping and photogrammetry sorties, high-altitude survey work where air temperature drops roughly six degrees per thousand metres of climb, cold-climate search and rescue standby aircraft, and agricultural spraying in early spring. It is equally suited to fixed wing and multirotor platforms in the 4 to 8 kilogram all-up weight class, and to ground vehicles that share the same 4S architecture.
Packaging and Quality AssuranceEvery pack ships in an anti-static bag with a flame-retardant foam cradle inside an export-grade corrugated carton, forty packs per carton, with the state of charge set to approximately 30 percent in line with air freight requirements. Each production batch is sampled for capacity, internal resistance, cold-soak discharge and a 1.2 metre drop test on the packaged unit, and the batch test record is issued with the shipping documents together with the UN38.3 report, MSDS, CE and RoHS declarations. Packs are covered by a 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects, and custom voltage, capacity, harness and label configurations are available from a two unit minimum order.
